All creation have the ability to hear the voice of God whether they be men,
animals or inanimate objects.
John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow
me”
As long as you are in the sheepfold of Jesus, you should settle it in your heart that you are able to hear his voice and follow him. Certain believers get awed when they hear others say, “I heard the voice of God”, or “Thus saith the Lord”.
Please understand that hearing the voice of God is not meant for a
privileged few; you also can hear if only you would incline your ear.
Micah 6:2 “Hear ye, O mountains, the LORD’S controversy, and ye strong
foundations of the earth”.
Mountains can hear God! God has programmed his creation to hear his
voice, and as a believer, you stand in a very special place to hear God’s
voice- it is not only for a selected few.
Isaiah 50:4b “…he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to
hear as the learned.”
Beloved, the morning time is a special time when you should incline your
ear to hear God. The word morning in Hebrew is ‘boqer’ which means dawn.
Dawn falls at 3am to 5am.
This time is so special for it’s the time for HEARING. It’s not only one
morning but morning by morning.
During this time he is in your room. He visits men every morning to speak
to them. Job 7:18 confirms it.
Before you got Born-again, the spirit of God was the means by which you
were convicted to confess the lordship of Jesus. Thus, no man gets born
again without first hearing the spirit. Why then are some believers not
conversant with the voice of the spirit?
If you were able to hear the spirit before you became a believer, so must
you hear the spirit now, whenever he speaks.
Job 7:17- 18 “What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou
shouldest set thine heart upon him? 18. And that thou shouldest visit him
every morning,…
Revelation 2:7 “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto
the churches…”
The word “saith” indicates a present action. That is to say, the Spirit is
always talking if you will incline your ear to hear. You should settle in your
heart as a believer that you have an ear to hear and position your ear to
hear all that the spirit has to say.
Often in prayer, we are fond of pouring out our hearts to God, putting
forth one request after the other without making time to listen to what God
has to say. After we say AMEN we just jump up and go about other activities.
However, no man goes to see a doctor and tells him his problems and walks
out of the consulting room without listening to the expertise instruction of
the doctor.
Whenever you spend time with God, learn to be quiet before him and train
your spirit to listen to him. It’s only in doing this that you can learn to
clearly identify his voice and how he talks to you as an individual.
The spirit continuously trains you till you get to the point where you say the
same thing with Him, as indicated in Revelation 22:17 “And the Spirit and the bride say, come. And let him that heareth say, come.”
Every morning, He is there to speak to you on matters even that which
pertains to your life, ministry, etc.
The matter will be so important that HE WAKES YOU TO HEAR IT. But during that time, how many people even wake up when He does. He tries it
several times to wake you up even at times through urine. Don’t play with
this time.
God is speaking to you today. Position yourself to hear.
